The first and last days are just travel days but somethings happen that are pretty cool so why not tell people about it??
I woke up at 5:35am pacific time just for an 8:30 flight. My uncle picked us up around 6:30 and drove us to the airport. When we got to the airport around 7:45, we went to go check our luggage but both flights to Chicago had been cancelled due to weather. My dad managed to get us a 9:15 flight non-stop to WA DC with Alaska Airlines.
At the gate, there was a water fountain that when you pressed the button for water, a gurgling noise came out of a speaker underneath the fountain. It was called "The Talking Fountain" and it was a so called piece of "art".
The cancelled flight was 6 hours but the new flight was 4 hours long so we arrived 2 hours earlier than expected. Just so you know, WA DC is 3 hours ahead of Seattle so I am a little jet-lagged. There was no in flight movie so I had to rely on my ipod to entertain me.
The
view from the window was just spectacular, the clouds looked like cotton candy.
Thats all for now, until tomorrow,
Maya

Well that's cool how you got a 2-hour early flight! I've never noticed that fountain, so I'll make sure to look out for it next time i'm at the airport. I've always found good service with Alaska Airlines. Great Pictures by the way! :D
